As a lot of you may know, Kari Marie Photography will be an exhibitor in one of the largest bridal shows in Houston, Texas this January 2016! This is a first for us doing a show on this scale, and we have been planning since the day we booked our booth back in August of this year.
So a little side note on the booth itself, its a 16x8 booth right off the main isle (score). The booth comes carpeted and with a black backdrop and that is it. No tables, no electricity (you have to have a company set that up for you).
So here we are deciding if we want to pay someone to stage our booth or do it ourselves, I looked into staging and the cost to stage the booth was more than the booth itself. I personally thought it was absurd for staging a booth for 2 days, so the do-it-yourselfer in me decided we were staging our own booth. :)
I am so thankful that I have a husband and helper (handy man) who is on board with me in making this booth/show amazing, who is also equally devoted to KMP as I am. This would not be possible with out his support!
In preparation for the show I already knew what I wanted or had in mind for the booth, and that was clean, rustic, modern, and chic ALL in one! Can you imagine the look on my husbands face when I told him that?? :) First off, he didn't understand what half of those things meant and secondly he thought I had lost my mind thinking I could make ONE booth have so many different looks to it. However, he entertained the idea of making the booth exactly what I wanted, and as it turns out we make a great design team. (maybe a side business in the making??)
Canvas prints and signs are on there way, check back for more updated photos!
One of the bigger challenges for the show was creating a full one page Ad for the Houston Wedding Magazine. I quickly recruited my cousin Heather, knowing she had the talent and knowledge to help me bring my vision to life! We pulled together an amazing Ad. Since turning in the Ad, I have been blessed to have such a great postion in the magazine a right side read on page 9! Also, my Ad and business was on the "trending list" last week! Ekk!!!
